A lot of the walkway was damaged in the recent storm, it is possible that it is too late in the season to replace it.

I think it's quite normal at the time of year for all hotels and the beach company, there are less people here so they start to pack things away especially when the weather is deteriorating .

Default Depressed

I'm so depressed. First the beaches get damaged in the storm, now places are packing away their chairs, and the weather is deteriorating. Oh, and there are huge queues at the resort hoppa desk !! I'm sitting here looking at my suitcases for my flight on Saturday thinking "take out the lilo, take out the beach towels, replace with wellies and waterproof" I love this website, but sometimes I think I should just stop looking !!! Next thing I know someone will post to say all the restaurants have sold out of rosado.

Don't get depressed, every thing is normal for mid October. You will still find it is warmer than in the UK, it's 17c as i type this and the sun has made an appearance albeit briefly. I love this time of year .

Thank you Sparky for your reassurance - I am feeling much more positive now Even the weather forecast for next week seems to have improved slightly (although of course it's changing all the time) Only 2 more sleeps to go .....

Cool End of season?

Just eaten a beautiful lunch at can Josef / formerly Tango sa Vostra/ formerly Cellar sa Vostra! Josef tells us he will be open till December. Good news.

Hotel Llenairw will close next Sat so anyone wishing a special lunch / coffe & cake/ or just a glass of superb vino on their beautiful terrace - go soon!

The Pines closing at the end of Oct - as I expect will many other establishments, due to the imposition of monthly taxes!

The moral of this tale is - if you have a favourite eatery - go there this week!!
