Default hire of sun loungers

Could someone confirm that there are sun loungers on the beach for hire( with sunshades!!) run by independent operators, so that if you are not staying adjacent to the beach you canfind somewhere comfortable to relax? Thank you!

I have just spent the first week of June st Porto Pollensa and I can confirm that all sunloungers on 'non private' beaches are hired out by the local council at a cost of Eoro's 9 for 2 sun loungers with Single Parasol per day.

just to say the guys collecting the 9 euros do not seem to bother after about 4 in the afternoon! With the temps as they have been recently this was about the only time we could bear to sunbathe.

Often think that the council should issue weekly tickets for the sunbeds, we have been for 3 weeks and on the beach each day at 9 euros at time can mount up
still worth it though 8)

Default Sunbeds/Private

Forgot to mention All beaches in Spain are public beaches and as such there is no such thing as a private beach. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

Default Sunbeds

I read in the Daily Bulletin some on going letter page about the cost of sunbeds and shades.
Apparently the official prices should be something like 2 Euros an item, making it 6 Euros at our beach, how come it costs us 9??
Not that it effects me, I always creep onto someone else's bed and when the come back from a dip or lunch, I pretend to be asleep and snore even louder if they try to move me. Always works!!!:rollin

I have heard that because the tender for the sun-bed/brollies was not dealt with until late, there will be none on the beach until late in May.
Anyone heard anything about this?
