Default Access to Pools

Hi all

First post on the forum, but I've done a heck of a lot of reading!
I'll be visiting in a couple of weeks and was wondering if there any places that let you have access to their pool (for a fee no doubt). We have a beachfront apartment booked but sometimes we prefer the option of sitting by a pool.

Thanks

Mark

The Bonanca Bar ( just bahind the Illa D'Or - so pretty convenient for you ) has a nice pool and all you have to do to use it is buy some lunch.

As regular Eolo residents (but not as regular as we would like to be) ..... We were told that we could use the pool at the Daina .... i don't know if it's just an arrangement between hotels as we have never (in 5 years) used it... but it may be worth a try asking...
You never know Eh ?

hi bonez1977

just returned from P.P

although we had a pool, we fancied the Diana pool, entered, with out any questions, used the bar also, no problems what so ever, attendant, even came over to inform us, a chair close to us was broken....and to add to it all, they forgot to come and ask for our bill baileys and beer, before they left at 7 pm...result, lovely pool, and if you position lounger right, feel like you are on a cruise, they also do bar snacks...

Bonanca bar is great, with music surrounding the pool...deep end for divivng in...lilo's allowed also...although the bar man Raphael, is a slight loony !! in a sweet way !!

would recommend Daina, no probs not being a resident of hotel !!

The Daina pool is officially for clients of Daina and Capri only however the public swimming pool on the back road, alongside the social security Dr and local police station is an excellent pool which is open June to September. For a small charge (think its about 2€) you can spend the day there, using the sun beds and parasol also, and alongside you have the polideportivo (sports centre) bar for drinks and snacks. I have just driven past after work and it was buzzing. Only down side is that you have to wear a swimming hat!! Good for hygeine but not so good if you look in a mirror!! Excellent size pool for serious swimmers to do their 20 laps before breakfast and also a very shallow babies pool.

Hi all
We have just returned from 3 weeks in PP,our villa did not have a pool so when our children got bored with the beach we used to visit the Ora Playa or the Player Mar(better pool)hotels for a swim.As we would end up having drinks or lunch no one seemed to notice and I didnt feel so guilty.I even reserved some beds early one morning!!

Has the Daina pool be renamed the Organge Bar or something? I seem to remember a new sign as we walked along the other week and it looked a bit buzzy at night.

Yes Bella you're right.

We stayed in an apartment just a few doors up from the Daina. The 'Orange Bar' was at the end of the pool. It did look quite nice in the early evening but in the middle of the night when we were trying to get some sleep in our horrible apartment with no airconditioning and we had to have the windows open for some air IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!!!!. We couldn't believe the noise. It was unbearable!!!

After 3 sleepless/tiring/hot/noisy/horrible nights we moved!
