Roll on July, and hopefully a couple of visits to Citrus to sample the wonderful food that Kenny is renowned for and the hospitality from Maureen too Hope they have a good summer.

Thanks for that Sparky, that's brilliant, def be there in June. Just trying to find somewhere to stay at sensible price. Rented Emma Apartment last year (above Migelion) but can't justify the price thsi year as this time there will only be 3 of us. But loved the view so much anything else isn't quite the same! Looking forward to Citrus and some of the other resurants mentioned on here.

I have just heard from Maureen, she has had an op to repair cut tendons in her hand and it's slowing her down , so she will not be able to open the bar just yet. It might be mid April now but she will let me know.

Didn't think Maureen could go any slower Only joking! Hopefully they'll manage to open soon, with this and O'Lume i'm running out of restaurants. Get well soon, Maureen.

Oh - not good news Last time I was in contact with Maureen, she was hoping to start up mid-April when kenny came back. I do hope there are no problems - I know she mentioned there was an issue with the council re the outside tables. Citrus is always our first choice for our first meal

Yes Rosie i am afraid the problem with the council over the terrace is the reason they are not open. The council is making life very difficult for some businesses at the moment .

Are they not able to open the restaurant with just the tables inside. They need to have it open for July

I am afraid that Maureen and Kenny will not be opening Citrus this year, they have just posted on FB that the council will not allow them to have a terrace and they feel they cannot open without it .

"some nights you just feel like it's that kind of evening, a walk on the beach first maybe, and a feeling of total relaxation. There,s no need to get dressed up to the nines to go to Citrus but they give you as much attention as a 5* restaurant and would really recomend this little place"
Some of the reviews, like the one above, made me put Citrus on my list to try this year and looked forward to using it as our little "local" place as staying on the front just round from it as opposed to our usual Pinewalk area.....so very disappointed to hear that news....was looking forward to trying their food and hospitality.....such a shame for them!

Yes Favie it is a shame and i think very short sighted of the council, because of this decision they will have even less much needed money going into the coffers .
The good news is that Maureen and Kenny will still be in PP but working for someone else, i will let you all know where they will be when i find out .

Oh no, that is such a shame. That is 2 restaurant's out of my top 5 from last year gone already. Thank goodness for Tango, if that went I think I would need counselling.
