Am afraid Rovers Return no longer exists but the Edregole Tavern will be opening soon - watch this space!

Hi steve & wecolme to the forum
I had the same question last year on my 1st trip to PP, and the motley (but very friendly) crew on here were very helpful.

We ended up watching the cricket & footy (i just cant leave it alone) in the Sparrow bar, which is in the south of the resort, in Gommar. But a little closer to the centre, just south of the marina, is the Trotters bar. And then right in the centre of PP is O Haras.

These are just a few, but if you keep your eye open for the blackboards showing what games are on, outside the bars, i'm sure you'll find what your looking for.

Now come on folks, let's just accept that it IS possible to be a discerning PP lover and a football aficionado at one and the same time.

Picture this - an apartment with a sumptuous view of the bay, Ronaldinho strutting his stuff on the telly, a bottle of a feisty well-chilled sauvignon blanc on the coffee table, then a post-match stroll along Pine Walk for some late night chipirones.

Aaaah! Heaven.

I'm with Med777 on this one. You brought a smile to my face and a frown to hubbies. Please please don't post on here where he can watch sport as he's into everything from footy to Grand Prix. I'll never see him again ! (...then again :b )

Hi Steve

Perfect request for me to post my 100th post !! I like many have enjoyed my love of footy in PP without alienating my wife who hates the game as much as some of the others on this site !!

Try the nags head 8 screens, can always get a seat and at a push on a champions league night can show 3 different games.
Its under new ownership and the host was very friendly when i was in there for the Fulham v Chelsea match this month. Only problem was he didn't fix the result for me !!

You'll find it by walking past the corner bar in the square, past Chivas disco and in the street next on the right.
