Default Restaurant changes.

Well, "Centric" is no more. The sign has gone and the whole restaurant is having a facelift along with new owners, i am told it will be another Italian but i don't know what it will be called yet.

Sorry to see Centric go. We used to love it there but felt it was never quite the same after Carlos left.

What's with all the influx of Italian restaurants?

Maybe it's because it's cheaper to supply pasta and pizza , i do think it's getting a bit too much now though .

Default New Indian Restaurant in Pollenca

New Indian replacing old Italian (restaurants that is) in the old town, same people as Kashmir in PP, so food probably not up to much, welcome change from pasta and pizzas

Mixed feelings re Centric

Up to 4 ish years ago it was one of our go-to places off season but in last couple of years has been disappointing

Rot set in for us a couple of winters ago when I swear we were served heize tomato soup ( nothing wrong with that of course but not outside your own kitchen )

However it is one more Majorcan restaurant being replaced by a generic Italian, Indian or Chinese ..... And that can't be good.

Not sure how these Italians are all making money though - let's face it with Little Italy and Laroc to compete with I wouldn't have thought they would fare too well

I think it was about 3 years ago that the chef left Centric to go and work Ca'n Torrens. I've never eaten at Centric (so can't comment on that) but have been to Ca'n Torrens once and certainly enjoyed it

I am led to believe Centric will be run by an Italian.

Agree with debz1. Had some fantastic times when Carlos owned Centric. Still, a shame to see it going now though!!

Centric was always our first meal on arrival late at night out of season. But as cd says, it went downhill with some dishes and lost its individuality.

We had always like it here too, the kids especially, but we just moved on as you do, wasn't it always Italian anyway, well a large number of its dishes anyway, as veggies it was one of the only places years ago we could get pastas dishes for us and also lovely pizzas also, they also did take aways as well didn't they?

Ah Centric - Fond memories - Rest in Peace.

Always one of my favourite restaurants "back in the day". Have great memories of sitting next to the "Sa Nostra" and watching the activity in the square. Always one of our "musts" whilst in PP.

It hasn't been so good for the last few years though - Since it changed ownership. Is Carlos the man that owns Don Corleone (on the front, near the Daina) or the cafe opposite Centric?

Either way - A little like Tango in that it was a key part of the square.

Carlos does own Don Corleone (of the front, next to Marina Cafe) In my opinion he does great pizza and pasta, reasonably priced too!
