Default New year

Wow! How expensive is that. They'll lose a lot of their followers at that price.

Gosh! That IS expensive! I see they have a free bar all evening but even so it seems a over the top pricewise. It will be interesting to see what happens here!

Just checked last years prices from Stay and they were the same for New Year, €145, Christmas day menu was €33.10. So I suppose you have to be happy that the prices have not gone up! No confirmation of the price this year for Christmas day though.

I'm afraid its far too expensive, even eith a free bar!!!!!. Only total devotees of Stay may be willing to fork out this amount.

I think it is well patronised by the wealthy Mallorcans, i certainly wouldn't pay that for a night out. We usually have dinner at home and then go out for drinks later in the evening.

We usually go to Trio which is about half that and with drinks and special menu including ensaimada and hot chocolate at dawn.

We are probably going to be in PP for the first time ever this New Year - woo hoo! - and wondered if anyone could recommend somewhere to spend it that is preferably a) cheaper than the Stay and b) a bit more informal and child-friendly? The children aren't very young but I think that somewhere with more of a laid-back family feel would be better for them over the course of a long evening. Trio sounds interesting - has anyone been there for New Year before? Not sure I will make it through to dawn though, never mind the kids! Somewhere like Nostalgia would have been ideal but I think they are closed.

Not sure how old your children are but we took our grandson when he was probably 11 and he loved it. I have also seen families with younger children there. It is a great night ,good menu and wine choices, music to dance to and a constant stream of titbits after the meal. Missed it last year but previously there has been a free bar as well. Party bag with streamers etc and a container which you keep holding the grapes for midnight.

Many thanks Lollipop - they're 9, nearly 10, so it sounds as if this could be perfect for them! I was worried that there would be no other children there but it doesn't sound like that is the case.
