Default Balaixa - Open in February

Balaixa will be opening on the 17th February.

The restaurant will be open Friday and Saturday nights for dinner and Sundays for lunch.

There will be a special winter a la carte menu, and also a fantastic set menu at 25.00 euros for 3 courses inclusive of wine.

I'm going to have to give Balaixa another go! We used to go there a lot before Mandy and Arnie took it over..always during the day and to be honest it was for the pool more than the food , although they did do very nice tapas especially the stuffed mussels

Have been a couple of times in Mandy and Arnie's early days (and my friend Sara had her 40th Birthday there), but we found the food unimaginative. Maybe this was 'teething problems' as so many say how much they love it

The jury's out till June when we'll give it another go..the trouble is when there are so many places you love you don't want to risk going somewhere you haven't enjoyed in the past.

Just come back from a superb week! Mandy and Arnie were as accommodating as ever and it was great to see them. Had a fantastic meal on fri 10th march. It was delicious and we couldn't fault it as per usual. Such a warm sunny week too - it was great. Those that haven't been - YOU MUST!!!!

Default Re Balaixa

Most of you know we love this place. Went a couple of weeks ago for Sunday lunch and it was fab. They were trying a few new things out on the menu. I had choritzo and pemientos pedron to start, (wow) and spaghetti with shell fish and a touch of chilli for main. Absolutly great.
Sad news that Lily passed away in the winter, but a new small Great Dane has arrived, Frankie.
