Default What's that bar?

Hey guys,

We were trying to remember - what's the name of the slightly scruffy bar in the top right hand corner of the square? Bar Circular or something? :rolleyes It's really cheap and full of locals and does LETHAL bacardi and cokes.

Some-one was just home and telling us they thought that the the square was getting pricey for drinks and we were trying to tell them about the place.

Thanks,

Lala

Hi Lala,

It's the Bar Cultural and I've enjoyed a few drinks in there while people watching.

Thanks Jane,

We remembered the waiter was a bit grumpy but seriously - there should be a health warning on the measures!:eek

Lala,

I hope I've got this right..the other bar on one of the corners of the square is Bony's...and they serve huge measures too. Perhaps Bar Cultural have decided to go into competition!

We had massive measures of Campari in our Campari & Orange (what Orange?) at the Bar Cultural - had to tip some of it away...

Hi guys

Yes the Bar Cultural.

Spent 2 weeks in the Borras some years ago so not far to go to get the big measures.

Also do big measure Bocadillos too in there. Serious heavy duty for a lunch, but hey upstairs for a siesta:lol

And then a wake up refreshment a bit later!!

Happy days!!:eek

Thanks guys - that's defo the one. Bonny's is much more upmarket - you get free peanuts and the chairs don't wobble (unless that's the measures in the Cultural again!)

Thought I'd post in support of Bar Cultural, it is good as it is normally only the locals who drink there so it is good place to go there and see all the families out for the night, plus it is quieter there and as for Bonys being up market, we love going there but its not up market, and as for the peanuts which are very salty, the reason the give them away free is to sell more drinks!

We were in Bonys a couple of weeks ago. We enjoyed the atmosphere and measures. After a couple of drinks we went inside and paid our bill and left, we were walking down the street and one of the bar staff came running after us saying you left without paying - how embarassing, needless to say we didn't go back as we didn't like their attitute and wouldn't go back.

Bar Cultural is great to sit outside, as someone you know always drifts by and stops for a drink and a chat. Plus it's much cheaper than Bony's, although not as "posh":
