Could anyone inform me as to whether our favourite restaurant has actually re-opened yet. Their web site has not been updated and is still saying 15 June.

Yes, it re-opened Thursday 15th evening - finishing touches still going on around the exterior and the waiters were struggling to find where everthing was but I have been told that Friday night the food was excellent and the new decor is very modern. Everyone is happy to welcome an old favourite back on the scene in time to watch the fireworks next month!

Glad to hear the good news about Stay.

Is Stay a good place to watch the fireworks from? I was wondering about there & do you have confirmation of the date? Does this mean eating at 11pm? (scuse all the questions!)

What great news.

The fireworks are usually the last Sunday of the fiesta , not sure if it will be the 9th or 16th July, anyone know?

If it's the 9th and Spain win the World Cup it will be some show!!!!

They usually start at about 12.15 a.m., don't they and the best spot is the beach towards Alcudia from Stay onwards.

Enjoy them whenever they are on.

Anyone know if the Spanish Red Arrows are performing as well this year which has been the same day at lunchtime?

It is on the Marina, on the Moll Nou (new quay) - the one on the right as you are facing the water - see www.stayrestaurant.com & has just been rebuilt & specialiss in Fish (of course) but does other dishes as well.

Just back today from PP. I visited Stay twice, menu is the same, same Slick guy in charge.
Food was good as ever
They just need to finish off the building work

Default Stay?

....and yes, they've still got the photographs of food on the menu, along with those rather dubious looking brownish thingies on the front page!

Very much the same as ever - apart from one of the charming waitresses who has deserted to La Llonja.

Default New Stay

Same food, same staff (no problems there) - still the best located resaurant in the Port. Now quite modern with exposed concrete, steel, timber decking and aluminium chairs etc. Has more of a bistro feel that a quality traditional restaurant which to me is a disappointment. Previously a meal at the Stay was something special however now it has more of a cafe feel. Probably twice the number of covers - no doubt the 'new' Stay will continue to prosper.
