Default Other Side of the Bay ?

Hi all ....... I seem to remember reading something somewhere that mentioned a nice restaurant possibly near Malpas. Any more information, web site ? , opinions etc ?

Ta, Mick.

I wonder if you mean La Victoria up the mountain - well, large hill! Monestary and lovely restaurant up there with great views both day and night, also play area for children.

Think bella's right you probably meal La Victoria..you can see it if you look directly across from PP..and it's just past Malpas.

Food average but worth going at lunchtime for the magnificent view. It's closed on Tuesday and best avoided at weekends as it's a very popular wedding venue.

The drive up at night is very pretty as the locals picnic under trees decked with lights (trees not the locals!!:\ )

As Debz says, this is great for a lunch. We have always had lovely meals here - huge Pinchos!
Take a pair of binoculars and you can see right over the bay. The drive is a bit of an epic but worth it when you get there. Not good for those who have difficulty walking thought as there are quite a lot of staggered steps to get up.
Small play area for children as well.

Mirador de Victoria Alcudia.. Majorca, Mallorca, Spain, Balearic Islands. published: 29/08/2007 16:32:09.

Yes Mearsey the restaurant is still going strong and is well worth a visit just for the view and a coffee, althought the food is very good too! It can get very busy in the summer as its a very popular venue for weddings...for obvious reasons. Location Location Location!!! (Hope the link works!)

Yes the link worked! That road looks an interesting drive! I hope it's well signed from the beach road from PP to Alcudia. If you drag the map right along to the headland there are what looks like two gorgeous little coves aswell. What a great day/evening out!

Thanks

Their MDD looks great value. It could be just the ticket after a morning spent in Alcudia.

On the other hand, has anyone just popped in for coffee and a snack e.g. a cake or dessert? I'm thinking maybe around 3pm (they open for lunch 1-4pm) so as not to take up a table where they could earn proper money. I sometimes do this to check out if I want to come back somewhere for dinner and more expense, but that's mostly country pubs where I live, so not such an issue.

I'd hate the embarrassment of being turned away!

We only ever go for a coffee and cake, usually early on so we can get a table with the best view

picture here from May 2007, that only seems like last year.....

Flickr Photo Download: Restaraunt Mirador De La Victoria

(The time on the photo exif data shows 10:20 am but that could be 11:20 spain time as I dont think I ever change the time on my Cameras.)

I've just looked on the website again and noticed that it says the cafe is open around 10.00. So I suppose that would be the best time, or after 4pm when lunch is finished.

I've just shown the husband your picture. He approves
