Default Pizzeria Eolo

This is another one of the places we always visit, great pizza and services and very reasonable.

Has no one been in and tried Pizzeria Eolo yet, would be interested to hear your views, we have always found it good value for money.

Hi Joanne,

We tied Eolo last May and there is a bit of a story attached.

We'd decided to eat at El Posito for lunch and wanted to try the mixed Tapas there but somehow we were perusaded into having the full works which included shoulder of lamb.

Our evening meal was to have been at A Punt (before it closed) but we ate so much at El Posito that we couldn't face a meal at A Punt and decided to save it for later.

We spent the rest of the day groaning because we were so full, but at 10pm we were a bit peckish so we ventured into Eolo.

I'm afraid to say we had a bit of a disappointing meal - hubby ordered fish but it looked like it came out of one of theose Findus boxes and I think I had escalope of veal although I can't be sure.

Anyway, it wasn't enough to ever tempt us back again, but I can't comment on the pizzas they cook.

Maybe they are better?

Jane

Default pizzeria eolo

If you go to a pizzeria, it is usually best to order a pizza.
I wasn't too keen on eolo either. But for the life of me can't remember what I ordered.

Never eaten dinner there but stayed for 4 nights last October and thought it was excellent value for money and staff couldn't do enough for us.

One of their other dishes i really did enjoy was the spinach and ricotta canneloni !!! I am a BIG canneloni fan, and with the home made sauce it was to die for !!!

Had a takeaway pizza from Eolo once - opened the box to find a pizza the size of a sixpence - very dissapointed.

Try Manduca, off the square or Little Italy on the Pine walk - both great for pizzas

Hi, just got back from PP after staying in the Eolo and also had a few meals in the pizzeria Eolo ...first of all credit to the staff...very, very nice...quick and pleasant service..also nice relaxing atmosphere...however, i found the food ie the pizzas nothing spectacular...simply ok..was expecting better considering it is a 'pizzeria' ..left slightly dissappointed actually - the only thing that swayed me to go back was the friendly staff - very good service but not so good pizzas
