Default Tapas in Puerto Pollenca

I am coming to PP for the first time at the end of August. I normally stay in Deia, and love eating in the tapas restaurants there. Can anyone reccomend a good tapas restaurant in Pollenca at all?
Rupert.

Default A good tapas restaurant

Well there are so many to choose from in Puerto Pollensa!
A good place to start would be by doing the Tapas Trail on Thursday evening. Starting at 8pm you can coast around a whole range of different bars and restaurants doing tapas for only 1.50 euro per drink & tapa! It's amazing value and a great way to discover little bars that you might not normally find.

You can get great tapas in the posher places like Stay Restaurant and also La Llonja (both on the jetties in the port) if you like more of a 'locals' atmosphere for your tapas, do try La Taperia, La Bodeguita, Cafe 63, Ca'n torrens, Bar Rumbo.
I'm sure thar other forum members will have their recommendations too.

There must be a few tapas bars in the town because they also have their own route (i assume that it is still going) on Thursday evenings but it's 2.50€ a time. Ruta del Tapeo in the Port is only 1.50€ .

There are a couple of restaurants in Pollensa I know that do tapas or raciones at the bottom of the Calvari steps. El Temple did fantastic tapas but not sure now it is under new ownership if it will be the same. Such a shame that Rafa has gone but it's such a little gem hopefully the new owners will carry on with the same traditional style.

It is Puerto Pollenca I am staying so I would appreciate a 'locals' tapas bar here. I am staying in Siller and hear the restaurant Siller does traditional mallorquain food. Is this a good place to eat in the evenings?

Bar Rumbo, La Roda and La Taperia are all very good and are always well supported by the "locals" .

Restaurant Siller, I am told is brilliant, top class food, home cooked by a husband and wife team, definitely on my 'must visit' list.

I can confirm the food is better than ever having eaten ther 4 times in 3 weeks, it is in our opinion unmissable.
The owner & his wife are lovely growing all there own produce.

Never hear much about this but the tapas restaurant on the front, Almirant is one of our favourites.

Extensive menu, good set menu, good kids portions and Helena is the perfect host - so friendly and welcoming.

Always our first night venue, especially given the views

Top class and certainly better than some of the "traditional" tapas we have had elsewhere
