Default Puerto Pollensa

Off to PP with my family early August. Anyone know of a good Tapas Bar (I find its the best way to get kids to try different food when abroad).
Staying at Villa Concha if anyone has any opinions.

Default Puerto Pollensa

Hi there and welcome to the Forum

See under eating and Drinking at the foot of page 1 "Neptune Tapas Bar".

You might also try El Pozo on the main street and if really wanting to brave it with some locals, Bar Juanita, think that's the name, on the main road out to Pollensa just before you reach Caprabo supermarket.

Enjoy!

Whitson,

We've stayed at Villa Concha both times we've been to PP and have now booked again for late September. Obviously we have nothing to compare it to, but we've found it to be fine.

Nice quiet location, a bit dark walking back to it at night, but still feels safe. About a 15 minute stroll into the centre of the resort - just right to walk off a huge blow-out! 5 minutes from the beach front and numerous lunch-time eateries.

Hope you enjoy.

Default tapas

We must have seen Senor Cigar at the Neptune!!
We've been going there for the same amount of years - Miguel the waiter has been there ever since we started going - and has seen our son grown from a three-month-old baby in a buggy to a long-haired 14-year-old rock fan!
The tapas is fantastic.
My wife and I ventured back in December to see what PP was like had found the Neptune one of just a few places open - and the tapas was just as good.
Enjoy !
We're back on Saturday for two weeks and can't wait for our first bites of Neptune tapas!

Default TAPAS

RED ROBBO,
I AM SURE WE HAVE BEEN THERE AT THE SAME TIME AS I AM IN PP ABOUT 6 OR 7 TIMES A YEAR.
I HAVE TO GO THERE FOR A COMMUNITY MEETING ON TUESDAY EVENING SO "TO BECOME ACLIMITESED " AND TO OVERCOME THE JEJLAG FROM LA (LUTON AIRPORT) I WILL ARRIVE SUNDAY AND PROBABLY TAKE TAPAS THERE FOR A LATE LUNCH AT ABOUT 2.30 BEFORE MY AFTERNOON SIESTA.
FAILING THAT PROBABLY A "MIGUEL SELECTION" ON MONDAY NIGHT WASHED DOWN WITH WHATEVER RED MARTIN HAS HAPPENED TO BUY ROUND THE CORNER ON ONE OF HIS MANY SHOPING TRIPS ON HIS ELECTRIC BIKE TO THE SUPERMARKET WHICH MUST BE AT LEAST 100 METRES AWAY!!.
I AM ALWAYS EASILY RECONISED WITH THE LARGE HAVANA IN MY MOUTH OR IN THE DAYTIME RIDING MY YELLOW PERIL MOUNTAIN BIKE COMPLETE WITH SHOPING BASKET ON THE FRONT.
HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON,
THE SENOR.:hat :hat :hat

Default Re: TAPAS

Having just got back I can also say we had some good meals/tapas in the new Can Picoteo ( 2 doors up from Simbad and next door to Oliveras) - it is where Eu Moll games used to be.. It is run by Miguel (who worked for years in La Goleta) Miguels sister also works there and his mother is in the kitchen.he is ably assisted by Marco.Nothing is too much trouble, the service is good and according to Miguel everying is "fantastic"

Default Puerto Pollensa

Right in the middle of town. Next to Tiberi, across from Hibiscus, at the start of the Formentor road, round the corner from the square, near the back of the Daina
