Default Carry on Up the Khyber

One for you , Beachfun

( Carry On up the Khyber : 1968 Sid James, Charles Hawtrey, Joan Sims, Kenneth Williams )

There comes a time when only a curry will do, as Beachfun suggest. Usually you've had a drink or two ,or three, or four and it's later in the evening and you've only snacked at lunch.BLT and I were in this state last week so off to the Kashmir in the square. We last ate there soon after it first opened several years ago and then unvisited for yonks cos we heard such bad reports. However believe it changed hands a little while ago so we just sort of drifted into it.

Got a seat in the square and settled down to a good curry. Quite a good business model because the price of your meal is determined by the main dish you choose. Included is a poppedum , and then a selection of barghees and the rice to go with the curry. You therefore get quite a fill for c 15 Euros per head , washed down with a Cobra and you've got away with c 20 euros per head.

Curries not bad either but couldn't say whether it's the best or worst in town because it's something we only do on a whim , like I think you're suggesting Beachfun. However did go to the Bombay years ago when it changed from that awful chinese restaurant and thought it was nearly as bad.
