OOOpps..

Thanks for replies...some time ago I whatched a couple of Holiday progs. ....presented by minor celebs.....they both featured Palma. The place in question had very large wooden doors at the entance, the lights may well have been the large round iron typical Spanish type with 5 / 6 lights around it...other than that I'm afraid I cant say more...except..if I saw it I'd know it

thanks again ian

It was Abaco, it is beautiful inside but the drinks are extortionate & not brilliant.

A friend celebrated her anniversary there a couple of weeks ago, and had the same verdict Cumberland! Well worth the visit - just to say you have been - but don't go expecting to get drunk!!

No dress code, facing the main square on the city side of the seafront road about 300 yards down the right hand corner street, huge 15 ft barn doors on the right, usually open .

Abaco! I have tried to take my husband there many times, so last winter when we spent three weeks in pp over Xmas and my parents gave us a gift of a night in palma (while they had the boys for us) it was my number one spot to visit.
After a fab day doing all the touristy things, cathedral, bus tour etc, followed by a swim at the hotel, we forced ourselves to walk back into town, just especially to have a drink at Abaco and admire the surroundings, child free (a novelty).
Well, after a walk through the beautiful old streets and working up quite a thirst, we rounded the corner for me to proudly present... A closed Abaco! For the next ten days!!!
