Default O'lume

Hola peoples! I'll hopefully get round to doing a full trip report when we get back home but have a quick update on O'lume for now: We went there last night and were initially a little concerned when Jaime told us he had a new chef. As soon as our starters arrived we realised we had nothing to be concerned about! We had the usual combination of champagne cocktails, Albarino and Amaretto so apologies if I make some mistakes with some of the details here: The new chef is Francisco who is originally from Andalucia and has previously won awards in Seville. The menu is still being refined but is currently a good balance from last years menu with some new dishes from Francisco. We had starters of duck salad and goats cheese, followed by confit of duck (stuffed with pine nuts & raisins in a sweet sherry reduction) and a rich pork casserole (using a special cut of Iberico fillet) and we shared a dish of Grand Marnier crepes to finish. I'm amazed to say it but the food was even better than last year and we're already looking forward to a return visit next week. As ever Jaime was the perfect host

Sparky - if you manage a report by 9am then you haven't celebrated properly
I think we managed 9 stops on the Ruta del Tapeo. ...... it'll be at least 10 am before we are ready to read your review anyway
