Bars/Nightlife

Hi All,

We are visiting PP again soon. The last time we were here we travelled in a large group and managed a lads and girls night out during our stay. The boys went out in PP, but came home at 12 declaring it "dead". Us girls headed for Alcudia and came home in the small hours.

Although we are travelling as a family this time, some friends of ours will be there at the same time and we hope to repeat the exercise. We would like to avoid travelling to Alcudia as it was a bit tacky (although loads of fun at the time too!) Ideally we want to find some good late bars (with music) in PP, suitable for some young at heart 28/33 yr olds!

Can anyone recommend any?
Can you also provide directions if possible please?
Can you tell me if these bars ( and Chivas) are safe for two women out on their own?

Thanks everyone in advance.

There's already a good post on Late Night Bars herep221.ezboard.com/fpollensaforumfrm13.showMessage?topicID=516.topic plus have a look in the Entertainment section. I'm sure that everywhere would be safe as long as you take the usual precautions & keep an eye on your drinks.

Just got back from 2 weeks in PP, my 2 sons 18/21 joined us for our 2nd week and my brother with his 3 sons 20/21/23 were staying nearby for our second week. The 5 of them looking forward to a night out were a bit concerned it would all close a bit too early for them, but they managed to find several bars open til 4am playing music and enjoyed chivas til 5.30am:eek .
Although they only play Spanish music after 4am when the locals finish work in the various bars.
So you should find plenty to keep you happy til the small hours.

Hi Emmski,

Now im struggling for the name here, but think its Mulligans ( another irish bar), its the backside of O'Hara's... was brilliant on a Friday night, as they had a band on ! had a brilliant two fridays there, great atmosphere, everyone dancing and singing etc, but was dead almost everyother night, all in O' Haras, which was heaving/packed every night, with music, but wasnt really our scene,( but each to their own... ) but wasnt bad if your already drunk..;) but if you dont like it in there, your nackered really, in my opinion !
and of course Chiva's, we went, out of curiosity, as gets a lot of good as well as bad press, so thought we would see for our selves, and apart from the overwhelming smell of tobacco, and ciggy stumps, it was as dead as a door nail...that was about 12.30am..we left immediately..was end of May, so difficult to say! apart from them, there was nothing really, at the time we went, or if there was, we couldnt find them, and wasnt for want of looking. We ended up in Alcudia, on the nights we felt like some fun... ;) but we were aware of that before we went, so was fine..... the bars are more relaxing types, but if you want to drink late, you can !!

have a fab time! and remember if your not impressed,
Alcudia is only a taxi away, and as tacky as it may be, its guaranteed for a good night out...
