Hello weehog and welcome!

I love Cala San Vicente and there are some great restaurants there. One of our favourites is the Restaurant L'Alba which overlooks the sea.

I also know that a branch of Balaixa has opened there as well - Bistro Balaixa and there is a thread about this place on this part of the forum. I haven't been there yet but have heard good reports.

My favourite bar is the Bar Mallorca which has beautiful views over Cala Molins - it's small and friendly.

There are really two areas to CSV - the first bit as you come in on the main road and then Cala Molins which is reached via a lovely winding road with stunning views. It's best to park the car and walk about and you'll find what you're looking for.

There are a couple of very good hotels as well - La Moraleja is one as you come into CSV on the right hand side - the reception is full of vintage cars. I would love to stay there - just need to work on hubby!

Hope you have a great holiday!

Jane

weehog you are going to one of our favourite areas of majorca. Must agree with jane re. the L'Alba the owner (lollie) is charming and her staff are very friendly. We also like la marinas which over a supermarket, we often have lunch there with a variety of dishes to make our own tapas.
Where are you actually staying?
have a great time

Cala San V is a piece of heaven on Earth!
The Trattoria Cala San Vicente is my recommendation. See my post of a couple of months ago for a short review.
Happy eating!

"We went here on Monday night and had a lovely Italian flavoured experience. The starter which Claire had: apple with gorgonzola and tapenad of black olives, walnut pesto and celery slivers was an edible work of art! The main courses are also divine. My Veal meatball with pesto and spaghetti in tomato sauce was heaven. To finish I had some lovely home-made gelats and Claire had espresso café with nata and vanilla ice cream. The service was excellent and the atmosphere and the environment was spot on. Please give it your support and venture over the mountains to give it a whirl!"
