Hi Beachfun,

Kashmirs is lovely, plus it is very reasonably priced. The price of your meal as quoted in the menu around about 13 Euro if my memory serves me correctly, includes starters, plus rice and poppodoms etc.....We had a lovely 3 course meal there earlier in the year, with drinks for around 30 euros for 2.

It's worth trying...

Kashmir is average at best.

The free starters were things like bhajis and pakoras and weren't spiced enough. The popadoms were fair but the dips a bit limited and clearly froma jar.

Our main course was a chicken dish i forget, and it was forgettable. The Vindaloo was better, lamb fairly tender but no fresh green chilis which i would have liked.

The lager was lovely and cold, though.

Now tell us about the Mallorcan food you had and where.

When in Rome.

I would love to tell you about the Mallorcan food I enjoy while I spend time in Puerto Pollensa however to do that I will write about it in one of the threads about a Mallorcan restaurant, however as this is a thread about Indian restaurants I will stick to the subject, and may I say that I have enjoyed some very good meals in the Indian restaurant in the square and also an average one too but I think it was a particularly busy night that night.

There is something so enjoyable about sitting in the square, late spring, and early autumn when Puerto Pollensa is still busy enough (but the summer holiday crowds are yet to arrive or have gone home for another season)and enjoying a poppodom with a long drink. I'm sorry but just occasionally it makes a change from bread, alioli and olives.

I'll second that flamencodancer!!

When in PP obviously you do the 'when in Rome thing' 99 per cent of the time..but sometimes ...and it can hit you suddenly, and for some reason it's normally on a Friday night.. you think to youself I really fancy a ruby :b

The Kashmir is great and it's not often you can sit outside with a glass of complimentary 'fizz' and a nice chicken passanda!

Puts a bit of a different spin on sitting in you local curry house!

I have to agree with the girls on this one. What an odd old fashioned thought "when in Rome" When I go away on holiday I let my hair down and do what ever takes my fancy and if that includes having an Indian in PP then I go for it. I don't just eat at english places when on holiday in the UK (does the "when in Rome" rule apply when your in the UK?)
It's nice to see I'm not alone.
I agree with debz the Kashmir is great.
Maybe snowy and the rest of the in Rome thinkers should let their hair down once in a while.

Let my hair down I am the Oldest Swinger in town, I know of at least two Gentlemen on this site who would have a job to do that.

When in Rome do what the Romans do eat whatever you like.

I was delighted to see you enjoy a curry as much as I do, you're quite right the pink bubbly they serve is actually very refreshing, though I could only manage one glass, its a G & T for me after that.

I did giggle to myself, it looks like someone has done a U turn, a politician on here maybe?
