We ordered the suckling pig the day before for 7 of us, and certainly were not disappointed. The whole experience was very pleasant, with sitting out on the terrace and the good children's play area to take turns in! We were pretty surprised that the owner recognised us from nearly 20 years ago at Ca Vostra too. The memories of the restaurant staff in so many places is astounding! Not sure if it's open in winter though, I think it closes in October.

Might be wrong, but seem to recall the head waiter in l'aup came from the old neptuno and worked alongside Miguel for years .

You may well be right, we only had a chat with the owner - who worked alongside Tony wayback when in Ca Vostra, he then went to Hotel Formantor, but decided he preferred to cook with more traditional type menus, so reopened L'Aup. Neither Steve and I can remember his name though - which is awful I know, but still have holiday brain!!

Hmmm, Please forgive me Sparks if I'm low on sympathy, but you could always nip over here and have a swim at St Andrews golf club to cool off, Oh and that's on the Fairway after all the rain. If that failed to work I'm sure 13 degrees in july would do the trick.

If that does not appeal you could nip down to our neck of the woods in the south where you would wonder how you could go week after week in mid summer in thick dark cloud where you need to have lights on to read. Still I should not be ungrateful, we had our summer one of the weeks Wimbledon was on.

Well, Now I've got that out of my system I feel much better.
