Smile Whats open out of season

Hi everyone, My hubby and l have been lots of times to PP by ourselves and also with grandchildren . However, we are thinking of coming in Nov or Dec this year and wondered what was open, restaurant wise, coffee bars and bars and any entertainment. Also what is the weather usually like that time of the year. I know that l wont be sunbathing, heigh ho but would like to do lots of walks. Also can anyone recommend apartments, hotels open that are clean, friendly and cheap. I look forward to hearing from some of you .

Welcome Bridie it's a bit early to know exactly what will remain open this winter, i am starting to put together a list and will post it in due course. In the meantime have a look at the links below, it will give you some idea of what to expect. I don't think any hotels will be open.

Bridie, Don't rule out the sunbathing! We were there Dec '09 and it was 22C, clear blue skies, all week.

Smile What to do in winter

Don't forget the NOMADS Christmas Pantomime!

This year it's "The Snow Queen"

It's to be performed at Club Pollenca on Wednesday 30th November at 7.30,
Thursday 1st December at 7.30 and Saturday and Sunday 3rd and 4th of December at 4.30.

They are already rehearsing. You could hear, "Oh yes it is, oh no it isn't" across the square last week when they were rehearsing in the old school.

New producers. Nickie and Nicky's first production and lots of young people have joined NOMADS this year.
NOMADS? North of Mallorca Amateur Dramatic Society. They are always on the lookout for new members, particularly men!

Cheers!

San Miguel.

You will love it great chance to do some walking without the sun beating down on you and you will find enough places to eat and sit and have a drink. I love the winter here without the madding crowds. Try the walk up to the monestery, and the walk over to cala. Also visit the Caves they have a great cafe with lovely views and the caves are great and only 10 mins drive from PP.
You will probably have to rent a place as I think the only place open hotel wise will be Hostel Paris which is basic but clean and ok and they usualy still have some entertainment some nights.

Not for the last 3 years Rich .
Hostal Paris is now under new management but last winter they were offering rooms for €50 per week.
