Default first time in pp recommended restaurants

hi,

we will be in PP next tuesday (15th) and i have been having a good look at this site and the forum.question is where would you recommend for a nice romantic meal that doesn't hurt the wallet too much! also i would be interested in finding restaurants with authentic mallorcan food where locals eat.

any advice would be much appreciated

Everyone who knows me on the forum will guess where I am going to recommend .... LOS ZARZALES

It really has got everything..fantastic traditional food with a modern 'twist' , a beautiful courtyard setting and wonderful attentive service. The portions are huge and all very reasonably priced.

There are so many fantastic restaurants in PP and most have menu de dia which are very good value, and include wine or beer. If you are looking for more traditional food go further back than the front line and in the little side streets you will find gems such as O Lume , La Fortalesa and Siller ..all excellent ,although perhaps not the most romantic looking restaurants.

We have been going to PP for 19 years and still discover new places every visit!!

If you are going to venture into Pollensa ..you will be spoilt for choice with the restaurants there. My latest finds are El Temple and El Molino both very traditional and superb

Have fun and let us all know where you went!
