Default Excellent Eateries

Just back from PP having enjoyed a great two week break. This was our first visit in six years, this time child free and stayed in a lovely villa in the Siller area booked through Villa Plus .com

Ate out every other night at some of the old favourites

TANGO'S - First night, nothing has changed great food and service from the main man and his staff. We initially sat outside to order, however the ladies were a bit cold and we asked to move indoors not a problem !
I have dined here going back to 85 and the standard is still 12 out of 10

MAXIM'S - Located in the square, and as ever excellent food and service with a most friendly staff. The fish dishes especially good, yet another top tenner.

DON CORLEONNE - On the front next to rounabout at marina near the Hotel Denia - This was the only dissapointment, loved this place in the past, however I think it must have changed ownership. Food was very average and the price of wine was a rip off. Will not be back. 6 out of 10.

TRIBECA - What a find, great little restuarant, excellent food on the menu with delicious wine at the unbelievable price of 10 euro a bottle. Our waitress was a great lass from Coatbridge and her partner Ken, is the chef, all the way from Maryhill
Dined here twice as we enjoyed it so much.

Only minus point is the notice in the window stating "air conditioning for your comfort". However the lady owner is most reluctant to put it on, only did so after numerous requests. That aside most enjoyable place with great banter with our wee Scot's waitress

9 out of ten due to air con or lack of it !!!

THE IVY GARDEN - Another first for us, beautiful setting with great looking staff. Excellent menu offering good variety of fish and meat dishes. My steak was very tasty.

It would be fair to say that the above restuarants are towards the dearer end for the resort. However compared to home still great value for money.

OPPOSITE CORNER FROM TRIBECA - Can not remember this restaurant's name, something like ZELU ?, anyway, again excellent meal with beautifully prepared food and a most attentive staff. From the humble piazza to the grilled sea bream every dish was enjoyed to the full.

LUNA DE MIEL - Great value for money if chinese food is your thing. The staff are great fun and very attentive, every word accompanied by a broad smiling face.

BONNY'S BAR - no need to comment still the place to go in the square either before or after dining.

THE ORANGE BAR - Great location on the front, smiling staff, full of the pretty people listing to wide range of music including Mowtown classics. Nice for drinks after dinner.

PRO CYCLE HIRE. - After all this wining and dining work of the pounds by hiring a cycle from Bruce and Lisa. Great bikes at excellent rates with full backup provided. Try a racer for a week and see the local scenery from a different perspective.

All in all a great two weeks in PP no doubt will be back again soon.
