Default Short Changed

Before I write up my trip review I think I should, first of all, bring the following tale to your attention.
Last weekend we ate at the very busy 'Mojito' in the square.
At the table next to us we noticed that there was some 'confusion' about how much change had been given by the waiter attending that table. The waiter returned to the table and gave a 10E note to his customer, who duly left,in what appeared to be a-bit-of-a-huff without tipping.
About an hour later, when presented with a bill for 45.7E,I placed 3 crisp 20E notes on the plate provided, together with the bill.
A few minutes later my waiter returned with 4.3E.
IE 10 Euros short.
I pointed this out to him,and without quibble he returned with that 10E note.
Two other waiters also apologised to us - why one of them would have known anything about it was a mystery as he had never served us at all (my view is that he was told by his mate that I'd rumbled him).
It certainly looked like a deliberate attempt,or should I say policy,to try to short change us.
They got no tip,and we didn't,and won't,eat there again.

Default mojito

Hi Stephen, can I ask was your experience in the large Mojito or the small Mojito Pizzeria on the corner. We have for many years eaten in the smaller one and have been doing so this year for the past 3 weeks and had never experienced a problem. However on market day a couple of weeks ago we went in for a beer at lunchtime and the waiter, one we had never met before, tried to charge me for 3 large beers when we only had 3 small. Reading your post I wonder if it was the same chap. As for the rest of the staff in the small restaurant, I cant praise them enough ,they have been great and thats why it is one of our favorite restaurants. Sounds like they have a rotten apple in the barrell, lets hope they find him quickly'

The big new one where Makkassar was.
To me,their reaction gave away that they new exactly what they were doing.

We had a dreadful evening at what was Makassar last year but we still thought it was owned by the same people who had Tiberi at that point. We didn't realise that Mojito's had taken it over.
We didn't even get food and ended up paying for our drinks and leaving.

I wouldn't step foot in that place again whether it was Makassar or even a new Mojito's. They are clearly getting the passing trade but I wonder how much of it is repeat business?
