Default Nice eateries

My favourite eating place has got to be Bar Coral. Great service, great food and drink and very friendly staff. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. It's better inside then outside.
Also, Los Zarzales. A lovely place to eat. It's better outside than inside!

I don't speak much Spanish but I always finish off my meal with a carajiilo. It's the one word I always remember. It's a small, strong coffee with brandy or whisky. The bonus is that they don't just put the brandy/whisky in your coffee, they leave the bottle on the table and you can help yourself to the bottle!

Anyone got any opinions on Olivers? I've often passed it and looked in the window but have never been in, is it worth a visit?

Hi Tony,

I would definitely agree with you about the Bar Coral. Great food, a great atmosphere, family friendly and run by a friendly family.

I have never visited Olivers and now never will. It was still open at Christmas but has unfortunately now closed down.

Default nice eateries

Thanks James, I won't be going there then! We normally have a meal somewhere and wander. slowly (and not always very steadily,) back to our apartment. But we often fancy going on somewhere for another drink or two in a nice little pub/club. Anyone got any suggestions? Just a nice little drink, with maybe a bit of music thrown in after our meal.

Think we are about to go off topic :rolleyes

We usually end the night off at the Daina or the Miramar on the Pinewalk. Both are good spots to people watch. Last year the restaurant next to the Daina had a classical guitarist twice weekly (place which used to be Castinets) and we enjoyed the music sitting at the Daina.

Personally though I would say that the setting is nicer and the service better at the Miramar (and check out the posh toilets!) The Daina is always very busy and some of the staff can be grumpy (we always find funny!) Avoid the Daina's cocktails/ Sangria too - we thought poor value for money. Bar Joker does good cocktails.

If you want to REALLY stagger home head to Mestral for jumbo measures or if you don't mind CRAWLING home try Bonny's or Bar Cultural in the square!

Gosh - this makes me realise how many bars we frequent in a fortnight! I haven't even mentioned the stops at Cafe L'Algar, the Sis Pins, RAF nor early evening drinks at Tango, Neptuno or glass of wine at Little Italy after a stroll and then there are the boozy lunches! :rolleyes

Does anyone have the number for the Betty Ford clinic?
