I'm certain that Bar Cultural has two price structures. One for us and one for them!
This year will be my 33rd year in a row that I have holidayed in PP and I drink at Bar Cultural every visit but always have to pay top dollar(euro) for my drinks.

Do you order at the bar or waiter service?

All I can say is that earlier this year when we went in the charge to us was more expensive than the charge to our host, (our apartment owner and a local), for exactly the same drinks!

I have found it is the same price if ordering(and paying) at the bar as doing the same for waiter service.

We have never found that there is a different pricing structure and if there is, it isn't obvious. Plus, this place is a hell of a lot cheaper than many other places in the port! Plus, when you ask for a glass of house wine, it is a good one and no 'me too' spirits - ie. when you ask for Bacardi, you get Bacardi.

Mmmm. When do you become a local? . Maybe they have a discount card.

I assume the prices are publicised and if you are being overcharged you can complain. If you think locals are getting better "service" than you then you don't need to leave a tip. Oh and if your host is a local you could ask them to order and give them the money.

Adios

Dave

Never noticed the price, hubby paid! Lovely place to people watch any time of day. Lots of locals, we sat beside a table of 3 generations, grandmothers, daughters and their babies, it was great to see.

Literally been back home in Cheshire for 25 minutes.I was in Bar Cultural about 8hrs ago having a final drink.
For what it's worth I was charged 3E one day and 2.5E another day - both at the bar - for the same drinks.
