We visited Trendacora in the old town of Pollensa, where they had run out of the shoulder of lamb and offered instead a leg of lamb. It would have fed all our family for Sunday lunch! My stepson devoured the lot, saying it was the best lamb he had ever tasted. The setting in the courtyard made the meal particularly memorable.

C'an Josep, El Posito and Cellar La Parra but I'm trying Bar Coral next time we're in PP after the ringing endorsements!!
You're right Paul B - mostly very good wherever you go!

Bar Coral is the best for sholder of lamb. Jordi Pedro & Anna are wonderfully welcoming and we have eaten there most nights for the last 14 years.

I have a friend that once worked at The Codfather when it was in its previous site next to Manducas. He told me that a particular couple came to PP for a fortnight's holiday and ate every day, lunch and dinner, at The Codfather.I think that is beaten by coming for 14 years and eating mostly at Bar Coral.

Well looks like Bar Coral wins hands down however just thought I would let you know I had the most beautiful lamb in Restaurant La Roca about 2 weeks ago and serenaded by the two brothers who own the restaurant. Fantastic local atmosphere and great home cooking. They get out their spanish guitars and sing between courses and serving. Good spanish atmosphere instead of the commercialised `flamenco dancers´.

Are Coral and Laroc related? I don,t know if this has been answered before?

I know one is Spanish and the other an Italian restaurant so looks as though they are not!

But they are opposite each other and their names are the reverse of each other!!

Jordi owns the freehold and ran it himself for a couple of years but it was too much work with the Coral as well. He leases out the restaurant now.
