Default Eating In Pollensa

Evening All,
I have just spent all day reading thru the Eating out in PP posts. (Well, it's raining again and I didn't have anything better to do!) My wife and I are going to PP in 18 days and 13 hours time, so I have printed off a lot of the recommended restaurants. We have been to a good few of them but are looking forward to trying a few new ones. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm salivating already.
Just a thought...do you think the owners and the staff in these eating places read our posts on Puertopollensa.com? Do you think they take note of our comments and maybe learn from them and do their best to improve things? Maybe some of the recommendations are from the actual owners themselves!
What do you think?

Tony

Hi Tony,

based on the feedback that we've received Yes a great many of them do read them. As far as we know there are no 'recommendations' from owners themselves. Those type of posts are usually pretty easy to spot. But if anyone does think any have been posted, please send me an ezInbox message - don't respond in the thread.

Thanks,

Webmaster

I know for sure that Jaime reads the posts about O Lume as he recognised me when we ate there last year!

My family still remind me about it even now!

Yes he reads them, i was speaking to him last week and he commented he hadn't seen a posting since March, he takes it very seriously. jaime sticks to his guns and only serves the finest of food, ask for chips then i'm afraid it's a no.

In that case, its a damn good reason for going. I do get fed up with being served chips at every opportunity. And I hate stringy chips!

Jane, (JH02JLH)

How did Jaime of O Lume recognise you when your photo on the Forum is of a bottle of wine?!!
And a very nice bottle it looks, too.

Hi Tony!

Last summer I used to have my photo on here and I think some of my older posts still show that.

However, something happened and the photo seemed to disappear and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't upload it again without looking hideous!

So I replaced it with a bottle of wine! And the forum heaved a huge sigh of relief...:lol

Jane

PS - The bottle of wine is from Ca'n Vidalet, just outside Pollensa!

It was her Red Nose that gave her away, right Jane.

Jane,
I'm going to PP in 17 days time. That'll be are 7th visit. I'll look out for that wine, although I may have to sample a few before I find the right one!
