Our holiday restaurants
Diana and I have returned from our one week holiday in Puerto Pollensa. We had excellent meals in four restaurants in particular. The Stay for our anniversary meal - excellent allround; C'an Josep where we saw the guitarist, Mariano Miranda, and La Cabana for wonderful tapas. Those three are often mentioned and recommended and rightly so. The fourth was new to us and was Manuca(? apologees if spelt incorrectly). We went there on the Saturday after our journey and only wanted a snack as we were rather tired. This small restaurant was near full but the waitress looked after us very well. A place we would certainly return to.

Good choices :) So glad you enjoyed you anniversary meal at Stay. IMO opinion it cannot be beaten for a special occasion. We haven't tried La Cabana yet but have heard very good reports about it this week from other forum members.

There are so many new restaurants advertised now that its just impossible to try them all, or even the majority, in a normal holiday break! I think I would need to pack about 3 different size clothes if I even tried.
Perhaps we will start in alphetical order and work down. Mind you, that would mean one of our favourites Los Zarzales would be a year or two away again if we use the "Z" and I cant wait that long! |
Good to hear that Manduca is still delivering the goods - only downside is that it gets so busy during the summer. Good to eat early - 7ish or after 10
|
Can you remind me again where Manduca is please?

Must have been in C'an Josep the same evening / same time as the 'Spstoneys' - we also thoroughly enjoyed Mariano Miranda, a very talented & very special Spanish guitarist - very good food as well, in fact the only place we ate twice during our ten days in P.P. (this also due to Mariando's excellent music).
Similarities all round, also our anniversary whist out in P.P. - We chose the other very good restaurant on the Marina, 'La Llonja', excellent as usual. Both nights it was absolutely pouring down, the night of the big electric storm when we went to C'an Josep, arrived in rain jackets and with umberellas but still got wet. |
