Default Bony's - again!

Had a couple of pleasant evenings at Bony's - well we think they were! The measures haven't gotten any smaller!

Had new beer mats I hadn't seen before which say "Not Forever" - I asked him what that meant but he couldn't explain - "Not always" he said which is, quite clearly imo something altogether different from "Not Forever" and still doesn't explain...

Also took the opportunity to ask about the pegs.... "I dunno" says he. "I wore one one day and that's how it started"

Quite mad methinks!

As far as I know, Jero isn't Jose's son - I believe he is from Seville and only works in PP in summer months... apparently a lot of waiters come from mainland Spain to find work in summer months because money is better and weather is cooler than the cities

Default Bonys Direnctions:

Bonys is in the square, to the North East corner of it, oposite the Tex Mex and, and next door to a leather shop.

Best place in PP, I frequent there every weekend atleast twice!

We called into see uncle Jose once, when we were there, he welcomed us, he seems his usual self, the weight on the world on his shoulders, claims to be struggling, but seeing he has even more tables and chairs this year I cant believe it my self.
As for prices a sprint 2.70, large beer 4.60 and vodka and coke 5.90, I would say 50% higher than last year, not sure why, highest price we paid anywhere, people seem to be prepared to pay it.

I love Bonys but the reason why he thinks he is struggling is because he uses half the bottle of vodka etc on just one glass and he spends all his money on sweets for the kids . Bless him Prices are just getting worse now .

I will re-iterate what I said in a previous thread about bar prices. Bonys is overpriced, overcrowded and tacky. It stands for all that I do not wish from Puerto Pollensa. It has the outside plamsa TV's, the advertising for John Smiths and Guiness, flourescent signs with smutty slogans on them. Blackpool in the sun.

I loved the place! we were there 8 out of 10 nights and the kids loved it!
Jose is a absolute star, and a workaholic. if he wasnt serving drinks, he was throwing sweets to the kids or signing beer mats for people walking past, who usually the next day were sitting in his bar. The man is a genius! and a very clever business man.
On our last night we went up to say goodbye to him as we were leaving and he said
' Leaving? why are you leaving, you must stay'
when we told him that our flight was the next day he got the whole bar to wave goodbye to us!! then he gave us 2 pegs which i asked him to sign (they could be on Ebay soon) and as we walked away, he showed us him tubby belly and shouted 'VIVA ESPANA' to which everyone roared with laughter.
Isnt that what holidays are for? to enjoy ourselves?? I personnally cant see the harm in some harmless humour.
