Hi PP4me - As far as I can make out from previous posts, the building work (like most Spanish building work) is going along 'steadily'. I believe the ground floor, which is well on the way, will be shops and the other floors are likely to be
apartments.
Also the 'new' Tango - it has been around several years now - is actually called Tango Ca Vostre (I'm sure that is correct) and is positioned about a mile or so south of the marina, around the bay on the way to Alcudia at Llenaire (a district of P.P.) - 20 / 25 mins walk, bus or taxi. It is an interesting building and you can ask for a table looking at the bay / sea when you go in, or preferably book beforehand. The view looks straight out across the middle of the bay, quite excellent.
Several of the staff are still the same from the 'old' Tango, they are most welcoming and there is still an extensive menu. The food is good all as previous.
I don't know if Tango will move back into town or not, I have my doubts. They still have good trade at Llenaire, but I daresay they would get a lot more 'casual trade' if they moved back into town.
To find Tango easily, look for the building on your right going towards Alcudia that has a boat on the roof (yes, I said a boat!).
If you get to the new roundabout at the far end of the P.Pollensa by-pass you have gone too far.
Someone may be able to give a more recent update on the building works. I will be visiting P.P. again very shortly myself, I will endeavour to do a further update soon.
I'm sure you will enjoy your
stay when you visit. Nice ambience, wonderful bay backed by interesting mountains, dozens (and dozens) of eating places, good choice of foods in supermarkets including fresh meat and fresh fish. All in all you can't go far wrong. Hence the number of P.P. fans on this forum. Enjoy.
