Default A long time closed restaurant due to re-open

Have heard it on the grapevine that what was A'Punt is to re-open on 28th May. It was also previously called Ca'n Pep and is the 2 storey restaurant on the corner of Virge del Carmen and Temple Fielding.
I don't have any other info but will let you know when i do, that is unless someone else has heard anything.

I went past yesterday and they were definitely working on the place. Lots of wooden flooring being delivered and some serious woodwork going on outside.
It's not been open for years, but good luck to whoever has taken it on.

Cheers!

What a blast from the past!! Used to love Ca'n Pep Must be nealy 20 years ago that we used to go. Aways very popular with locals but I think it's tucked away location could have been its demise. Having said that it is close to the Nature Trail so it will be seen more than before.

Yes Debz, i remember many years ago seeing coach parties coming and going there. As you say, now with the La Gola nature area and the car park, hopefully it will be more of a success.

Hope they do well, it's good to see that lovely building, at last, being re-developed. Their position is not too far away from front line and as you say it is just opposite the newly opened nature trail. In my opinion if they were to have a special help yourself buffet like Menestralia or Ses Torrens for a fixed price, they would have people flocking there and wouldn't just depend on the holiday market.

Quite agree. One of those buffets would be excellent but I can't see it happening in the centre of PP. I should think they need loads of parking & to attract people all the year round.

My " secret agents " in town just told me about that place!

Hi Big Ern, turn up the road beside the Sail n Surf, go past Trotters and it's on the next corner. Hope that helps.

fran64, and anyone else for that matter, by "BUDA" you don't mean "Buddha" do you? If you do, and it's one of a chain, I visited one several times while staying in Nerja, mainland Spain some years ago.

It was one of the best "chill-out" bars I've ever been in.

Fingers crossed.

With all these new ventures opening up in PP visits will be even better!!

There is an advert on the front of the Talk of the North, it just says "Coming soon - 28-05-11" then there is a picture of a Buddha.
