Default New Neptuno

Am still very sad about the old Neptuno closing but wish Marcos and his team well with the new Neptuno!
Thanks for letting us know Sparky!

I understand how you feel Lorenzo but the place really did need a makeover. I am really looking forward to trying it, will keep you posted .

Does anyone know.

Cheers.

Hi Nick, someone said it was going to remain a tapas bar.

Looking forward to trying the new Neptuno, the old one was a very big favourite of ours for many years. Can't wait to introduce our 9 month old to tapas!

Thanks for the updates 'Senor C' and Sparky.
As Sparky said in an earlier post the old Neptuna did desperately need a bit (or a lot) of updating.
It was always popular, but I always felt it was somewhat 'dour' and therefore did not eat there as often as I might have done when in P.P.
As long as the tapas are as good (or even better) as previous I'm sure it will do well this year. Some early reports on this forum would be most welcome.

I hope they open as promised, we were told that they would be opening last Sunday but it obviously didn't happen. Will definitely be trying it out as soon as we can, and of course a report will follow.

For me Neptuno's charm was the fact that is repesented "old Spain." Used to love sitting inside when locals popped in for a quick drink after work!
We also often called in on the way back from the beach and on more than one occasion I've sat outside all evening in my swimming shorts (speedos were banned years ago) & T shirt, eating one tapas after another, before I knew it, it was past 11pm!
I guess no one wants really old fashioned bars these days - pity
Anyone know the opening times?
Just wondered if I'll still be able to pop in late afternoons
By the way; we were out in April and had a day in Alcudia. Whilst sitting in the square in Alcudia the waiter in the restaurant opposite, called Satyricon (a really up market place) was setting up a Tea Tray to attract customers, I knew his face but could not place him and it was driving me mad! After a while I had to go in and find out where I knew him from. As soon as he mentioned Neptuno I could remember him waiting on there, he has certainly moved up a class or two; a smart uniform with aprons, nothing like the casual look at Neptuno!
