We were in La Font del Gall a couple of weeks ago, been to cantonet & can costa and would say it is equally as good. Crab cakes to start on tomato salsa with a hint of chilli, perfecto! Can't remember what else we had, only know it was heaven and we will be back again in 6 weeks.

Just asked wife what we had, she had salmon wrapped in serrano ham & I had pork. Finished with sticky toffee pud with ice cream and fresh berries merange (wrong spelling) with raspberry coullis. Fantastic!!!!!!!!!

Hi Jane,
I ate at The Templer last year, is that recently enough for you?
I had a bowl of snails to start with, a bit like a bowl of mud, but I managed it.
It was quite good, but I can't remember what else I ate, so maybe that says something.

Just looked at the last post I made about C'an Pacience and now this. What an old moaner I've become:lol

Oh, Mallorcaboy...puts me in mind of the Grumpy Old Man thread!

Snails? Bowl of mud? OK...might give them a miss but I've never been a fan of snails!

Would love to hear any more of your reviews, though!!

Jane I definitely agree that El Temple is good on winter evenings as it's quite small and cosy..but disagree about it not being atmospheric .It's very popular with the locals and has a good 'buzz' about it!

There is a terrace out the back which is pretty but small so perfect for summer nights.. if you can get a table.

Default Anything New in Old Pollensa Town

At dawn?
What are you thinking of? Mallorcaboy never gets up until at least 11.00a.m!

A group of us had a very cheap meal in the Temple Bar recently. Good food, good atmosphere. Attentive service.

Cheers!

Frito

Also worth a try and smaller and quieter atmosphere is El Molino, run by Chef Chris from Birminham who has worked in several of the fav. restaurants of the area and his food is top class. Very obliging and will be able to provide for vegetarians also. It is to be found along the main road, past the park and petrol station alongside the popular chinese restaurant. Enjoy it - we always do.

I seem to be outvoted regarding the "atmosphere" at the Temple, maybe I was having a downday,if thats possible in Poll.

Anyway,try it and see!

I did go to the new hotel the first week it opened in March.
The food was excellent, prices what you would expect of a new ,swish place trying to add extra style to Poll.
