celler la parra

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has eaten in Celler La Parra in recent months? We have passed by on many occasions and said we should try eating here but never have. Also , if you would find it suitable for a 5 year old ? thanks Tanya.

Well established family run business for many years. Food at La Parra is excellent particularly the paella! I'm sure you and your 5 yr old will be made very welcome by Jaime & his wife Pat & their sons. A true Majorcian atmosphere.

Well worth a visit! I know I'll be back there again in October!

Enjoy!
Gina

Diver Val recommended this restaurant to me and we've been on a number of occasions since. It says on the outside typico Mallorquin and it certainly is. We love it. Frito Mallorquin, lomo con col, kidneys, liver, suckling pig. Great atmostphere, and definitely a locals place.

Re Celler La Parra

Sandy shhhhhh!

We might not get in!

We too have often passed by but never ventured in of an evening.

This is on the website www.mallorca-restaurants-121.com

This site by the way has a few cracking restaurants in Palma, some of which we've tried.

Re: Re Celler La Parra

Is Cellar La Parra the one with all the clocks? If so we've only recently been to it despite, as others have said, walking and driving past it many times.

If it is the one I would highly recommend it... authentic dishes and very good, friendly service. Especially nice to go to in the winter ,which is when we went, very cosy :)

Snowy,

Early doors , but good indeed. ( We're still standing !!!!!)

I've often wondered what La Parra was like and it has been recommended by a few folk, sounds great off season when we all head indoors. Lets hear some more comments, please.

Howzabout an inaugaral dinner meeting of the Mallorcan Hornets one day ?

BonysLad :)

Elt's resting most of Sept. Couple of Red Piano dates at the O2 London, a night in Switzerland, one in Paris and then back to Vegas mid Oct.

It has the best coffee of anywhere in Mallorca, and is open all year.

please someone, tell me exactly where this place is?

Re: RE:CELLAR LA PARRA

Hi Liz,
La Parra is on Juan XX111 going from the sea front on the right hand side after the traffic lights, before the Petrol Station, next to Barnard Hamilton Estate Agents.
Definately well worth a visit. Good Mallorquin food and hospitality. Puerto Pollensa as it used to be.

We tried Cellar La Parra on three occasions.

The first visit was very pleasant with good food and good service.

The second time was pretty unpleasant with a rude waitress indifferent food and dirty tableware. We did complain but were met with more rudeness.

Against our better judgement we were persuaded by some friends to accompany them to Celler La Parra last year. We sat outside for half an hour and were completely ignored by the waiting staff. We eventually went in to ask for someone to serve us only to be told "we're not serving outside" No explanation given. It would have taken then a few seconds to inform us of this when we sat down.

Now our friends do not visit there either and we always recommend to our friends and family to give the place a wide berth.

Hmmm...

Passed often but never ventured in as always looks empty. Is it ever busy? :rolleyes

Not sure I'd want to sit outside on that busy road but perhaps one to try on a rainy night for an indoor meal.

Lala
