Default Late night bars?

Hi all, apologies if this is in the wrong place or if it's been asked already but I couldn't find anything.

We're coming over in May for the first time, and we're wondering a couple of things.

While we aren't visiting solely for alcoholic reasons, we do like a night out every now and then and we're wondering what sort of time the bars generally close in PP. We're part of the 2am crowd really, not looking for anywhere like ibiza but a friendly late night bar is much appreciated, although don't worry as we aren't drunken yobs that will wake everyone up!

Also how much does a beer generally go for in PP? Cheers! Really looking forward to coming over!

First Timer,

Amazed you can do late nights and early morning runs but you sound like a man out of the same mould as me.

Get yerself to Nostalgia , just off the Square . Great craic and really good fun .

Yep, still clutching onto my early 20s! Of course, I'll probably end up sleeping in til 1pm now I've said this!

Thanks for the tip, will definitely check it out.

Just noticed you're from Ricky, I'm just down the road in Northwood Small world!

Just knew it , First Timer.

We're kindred souls indeed , only I'm hanging on by me fingernails to the early sixties !!! Still getting inspiration from Keef Richards, though

Rock on , mate

Nostalgia is great for all ages, the music and fun start around 10pm.
Another good bar is Batucada run by two Spanish brothers.
Living the dream in PP with my glass half full .

Can I just echo what Sparky said

Came over with my daughter and friends ( 16 and 17 ) last summer and they all preferred Nostalgia and Batacuda to Chivas

PS: Chivas is a cheesy disco ... pretty small, in a cellar and certainly last July seemed to be mainly full of underage brits ( not complaining my daughter was one of them ) ... but I recon if you are clinging oon to your 20's you would prefer the 2 bars

Default late night bars

There is also the Rustic Cafe in Calle Formentor - not far from the Oro Playa Hotel.
It's usually full of locals, waiters and bar staff after midnight and stays open till late.
It's less swish than the Batucada or Nostalgia but still great fun!

Yes, the Batucada bar is great if you want your eardrums blasted out by ridiculously loud music !!!

How on earth anyone can speak and be heard in that place is beyond me.

My apartment is very close by and the racket goes on until about 4am.

If you do go there and go outside, which you have to in order to use the toilets or have a ciggy, please try and shut the door and be quiet so as not to wake my 2 year old son !!

Muchas gracias !!!

Sounds like Nostalgia is right up my street! Definitely going to check out the Rustic Cafe as I'll love meeting locals!

Nick, I'll try to remember to keep the door shut in Batucada

Thanks f t. Not everyone's as considerate. Mind you, it's an owners problem to be honest. You can't really blame the customer for having to keep shutting a door. They need to relocate the doors further back.
