Called in again this trip for a lovely lunch on Sunday after the market and a great meal as usual in the evening which turned out to be one of the highlights of the holiday. We spoke to the owner who spookily knew our names and that I post on the forum, I suppose we have been going for as long as it has been open.
Anyway good news and bad news for us, they have now sold La Font del Gall to the owners of el Brio, the restaurant next door, it will be run as a separate business form the end of the season, with the staff staying on and hopefully some of the same dishes on the menu.
They are keen for it to carrying on with the same excellent staff service and different style of food as they have built up a good reputation for this along with their range of vegetarian food.
So best wishes to the owners and good luck with their new ventures back home, we shall certainly miss them as they have become part of our holidays and I know a lot of others will as well, if you haven't tried their excellent food yet, make sure you get along there before October.

That's interesting sws - We were one of Brio's first customers the first week they opened in 2009 - they had a fabulous Italian chef who left in between our first and second visits! The El Brio owner (cant remember his name for the life of me! - young chap from South America I think) - Anyway, he was a bit worried about losing his chef so early on - so its good to know they are doing so well now. We often pop in for coffee when we're in town - and have been for a meal once or twice.
