Default 7 DAYS IN PUERTO POLLENSA - WHERE TO EAT AND DRINK?

Hi, my girlfriend and I are off to Puerto Pollensa for the first time on Saturday for 7 nights and it looks from the website there are almost too many places to eat and drink!!

Just wondered if people could advise some must go places to eat and drink! The kind of places that never seem to dissapoint, the service always freindly and the food always good!

Would appreciate your help!

Many thanks,
Chris.

Oh Boy Chris - where to start? :\

Check out Jane's list which includes Forum members' reviews of many of the restaurants in PP. We all have our favouites but truth is there are just too many good places to try. Depends what mood you are in/ who you are with/ what you like to eat too!

I'm going back for a week next month and here's the places I plan to go to - all may change when I get there though and I've seen a few recommendations on here like O'Lume which may also have to feature!

Have a fab holiday - great place you'll love it!

Lala

1. Eating

Tango - a PP institution about to close/ relocate. You can't not go! Menu of the day great value. Nice steaks.

Little Italy - great spot for lunch on the pinewalk. The first thing we do once we arrive after off-loading cases

Iru - romantic dining on the Pine Walk by candle-light, lovely fresh food. A little upmarket!

Stay - I am dying to try - highly recommended on here for food and waterside setting

Manduca - great menu, food terrific, full of locals, slow service but relaxed eating experience

Laroc - great pizza lunch spot

Pollenca town - jump in a taxi and explore the old town. Try Il Giardino or Can Costa for great cuisine and then a stroll through the narrow streets

Hibiscus - family run - fab veggy paella, warm rolls, alioi - yum!

Chinese on Formentor Road - in case you're missing your Chinese food fix - the roast duck with hoi sin sauce is the probably the best that I have ever tasted

(That'll get you started )

2. Drinking

Bony's - huge measures, great setting in the square, free comedy from Jose - the bar equivalent of Tango - another PP institution!

Bar Cultural - a "real" Mallorcan bar - more huge measures!

Miramar - great for people watching on the way out to dinner.

Bar Orange - Out on the water. Chic, comfy sofas, cocktails

Cafe 1812 in the square - good for ice-cream sundaes

Many thanks for your reply!! Was just the kind of information I was hoping for!

Sounds like it's going to just the right place for us! Really can't wait to go. Not sure 7 nights is going to be long enough!

Thanks again.

CHAMP You'll definitely wish you'd got longer than 7 days as there are so many great places to eat you'll only just scratch the surface! But you can jot down the ones you don't get round to visiting for your next trip ..bet you go again

Lunch time:

Little Italyfor great pizzas and view. Or if you have a car a short drive to La Victoria the other side of the bay.Or Alcudia, after the market, within the walls of the old town..lots of great bars and cafes

Cheap and cheerful :

Tiberi, Makassers or Nico's for modern style menus with great staff , and the buzz of the square at night!

Authentic Mallorquin:

O' Lume , La Fortelesa and Siller...fantastic food in traditional settings.

Romantic and pushing the boat out:

Stay, Los Zarzales or C'an Costa (in the old town)..all fantasic!

Have a wonderful time
