Default Who does the best lamb/suckling pig?

Am counting down the days now to our next visit at the end of October - invariably when we are there at this time we get the odd day which is overcast, or downright cold, and a warming, filling meal is what's required... So, who in your opinion does the best (Mallorcan style) lamb or suckling pig? I'm particularly interested in places which might serve them for Sunday lunch.

Hi Kate

I must say that I had the lamb in El-Posito end July and it was absolutely wonderful, unfortunately missed my fix of suckling pig this year but last time I ad it was in los zarzales and again wonderful. Enjoy your break Kate i'm very jealous.

regards

Gary

C'an ferrar's Special Lamb Meal is really good and only about 18 euros a head - you get tapas to start, then a leg of garlic lamb carved at the table with fried french beans with bacon and chips followed by fresh fruit. You need to order it the day before.

Best suckling pig I have had was at Tango Ca Vostra

The Mallorcan style lamb in El Ancla and Ikebana are both great but they don't do suckling pig on the menu, only as a special.
El Posito always have great suckling pig on their Sunday lunch MDD(3 courses plus drink €15pp) but the lamb would have to be from the ALC menu, but very good.

My vote for the Lamb would be

Bar Coral - shoulder of lamb with roast potatoes and roasted veg

El Posito and C'an Ferras previously mentioned lamb meal a close second

For suckling Pig I would say either Los Zarzales or Tango Ca Vostra

Can't decide which is the best but I would say that Hibiscus is defo the worst I have eaten. My son and I had been looking forward to it for some time and it came as a fatty, salty disaster. What is more, they have stopped serving the stuffed mussels!

Got to agree with CD ...Bar Coral, it's the only place I would ever have it, they do it to perfection!!

Suckling Pig....I just don't fancy but hubby tried it once at Centric and although I do like Centric the suckling pig got a thumbs down...and Hubby isn't too fussy an eater really.....just as well!!

There are some great recommendations here - thanks everyone. Will definitely try Los Zarzales as we had a lovely evening there in August - didn't go for the suckling pig though, as it didn't seem the best thing to accompany 39 degrees of heat! And El Posito used to be one of our favourites but for some reason we haven't been so far this year - probably because it doesn't have outside tables, but in October that doesn't matter.
