Default Breakfast at Mollie's Bar

It's become a tradition for us to have breakfast out on our last day and for the second year running we went to Mollie's Bar.

They do a fabulous cooked breakfast of sausage, bacon, fried bread, egg, tomatoes and beans, accompanied by toast and fruit juice.

The staff are always friendly and the place is usually busy with tables set out on the street so you can watch the world go by.

We went twice during the holiday for a treat and it was well worth it.

They also have an extensive menu of British favourites for the time you want a taste of home!

Is Mollies bar still owned by Nigel and his wife? Just wondered if it might have changed hands again.

Hi Jane

We went for a walk on a dull damp morning the week before last. The sun suddenly appeared and we stopped off at Mollie's Bar for a pot of tea and a bacon and egg roll. Delicious! The staff were really friendly and the tables and chairs filled up as quickly as they could be dried off. I thought it was a lovely spot to sit with the morning paper or just to relax, enjoy a lovely tasty breakfast and watch the world go by. LK

Hi urbutis and LK,

I'm not sure who owns Mollie's Bar - the two ladies serving the food were both blonde and very friendly.

I agree, it's a great place to sit and relax and fuel up for a hard day of sunbathing!

Mollies has changed hands fairly recently. I think they said they had been there for 5 months or so.
Still a very good breakfast and very busy.

Yes Mollies has changed hands this year, although I think that Arlene, (Nigels wife) still owns it, so has a vested interest. The new people are doing a great job, so lets hope that this lovely little cafe continues its fantastic reputation for good food and service.

Hi Graham

You'll find Mollies opposite Tots Restaurant, last turning right towards main roundabout from the Caprabo supermarket, just round the corner from the Patisserie.

If that makes any sense.

Regards

Enjoyed a great full breakfast there a couple of times during my stay and found the couple who now run it very friendly.

I was looking forward to the odd breakfast there from Jan 08 onwards but they informed me they are closing this sunday,28th Oct till next March !

Good luck to them and we will pop in next year.
