Default Where to go for evening drinks?

I wondered where everyone would recommend for that pre-prandial cocktail (or two)? Please don't say Bonys... We are looking for somewhere with a bit of atmosphere, no Sky sports or Brit soaps, possibly on the Pine Walk... Somewhere a bit special. We enjoyed Nostalgia last year but are looking for somewhere else to ring the changes. There are some lovely bars in the old town but I've always felt them to be lacking in the Port. It doesn't have to serve cocktails by the way - wine will be fine!

Hi Kate

Usually the Daina, but sometimes the Capri. It all depends how busy they are.

I think Belladonna is refering to Batacuda. It would be my choice.

In the town it would have to be Bar Ocho, in the port it would be the beach bar watching the sun go down followed by JK's

My choice would be The Daina.

Batacuda is much more post prandial than pre in my opinion. It doesn't really get going till after 11pm and would be pretty empty before that time. Also being inside with a small outside courtyard at the back, there are no views or people watching to be had

Definitely Batacuda if you fancy a late one 'tho

Two places spring to mind.
The Illa D'Or Hotel is just lovely on a balmy evening. You can watch the sun go down whilst stylish drinks are served to you on the open terrace. A bit pricey but worth it.
The Club Nautic bar is also a great venue for taking in the atmosphere whilst sipping a pre-prandial cocktail or glass of wine.

I think it would have to be Bar Orange, just in front of the Daina, or as Debz says, the Daina itself.

Thanks so much for all these suggestions - I'm ashamed to say we have never tried any of them, apart from Club Nautic, but will certainly be doing so in future!

The small La Llonja bar (below the first floor restaurant - ground floor) is nice for an early evening drink as you can take in the last rays of the setting sun plus watch the (small) boats both coming and going. No cars so the children can play outside the terrace but watch they don't fall in the water!

Just in case other people didn't know where Batucada like me I have just done a quick search and found these instructions from 2006.

Batacuda is next to the restaurante Naciente which is not far from Olivers and Rustic is off the old Formentor road on the way to Bellresguard not far from where Baxters/Googlers used to be. Hope you enjoy!!
