Default Cafe Caramba!

Normally I am more of an ‘observer’ than a ‘poster’ but I feel I cannot let the remarks about CAFE CARAMBA go unchallenged!
I agree wholeheartedly with Shaun Brettle when he says <quote> it's a great bar with great people and everyone should try it <unquote>

Debbie & Terry are lovely, warm, hardworking people who are providing a much needed service!
What you all seem to forget is that Puerto Pollensa is NOT just a Tourist area with everyone bending over backwards to make sure the ‘once or twice a year’ visitors get exactly what they want and ‘to hell’ with the people who live there!!

REAL people LIVE there ALL YEAR ROUND! A great percentage of these people are ex-pats who have chosen to spend the rest of their lives there. Many are widows/widowers/single people who, if they had stayed in the UK would be confined to a lonely existence in their flat or house, fearful of going out after dark!
In Puerto Pollensa they don’t live with these fears, safe in the knowledge that if they fancy a bit of company & conversation they can find like-minded people in places like Cafe Caramba, Knags Head & JK's where they are always sure of a warm welcome & someone they know!
And yes, if they fancy a game of BINGO to while away the evening, then why not?
Come May & they will be lucky to find a seat in their favourite places!

As for Lala’s remark about it sounding like free advertising – well so what?
Aren’t ALL the posts in this section ‘free’ advertising for our favourite restaurants?

Is BINGO really so different to watching FOOTBALL on a hot Majorcan day in a crowded bar? As you say Lala “Why go to Mallorca if that is what you want? Just pop down the local”!

Congratulations CAFE CARAMBA on your 1st Anniversary! Long May You Reign!

See you on the 25th!

Gina

Unfortunately there have been several posts about Caramba which have been already deleted as these were self-advertising by persons connected with the business and this is not permitted on this forum as it is unfair on those businesses who do pay to advertise on the main web site.

Of course, we want other members to recommend their favourite places but when owners 'pretend' to be someone else, and this is normally very obvious, then these posts will be removed. Lala's comment in this situation was accurate. Gina, if you enjoy visiting Caramba then we're pleased to hear from you.
