Talking Part 2

We spent the 3rd day on the beach down near Los Pescadores, so while there I called in to book a table on the upstairs terrace for that evening, browsing the menu and sneaking a couple of small beers at the same time
We arrived at 8:30 and were lead up to our table with arguably one of the best veiws in the port. We both went for fish,Alison sea bass, and grilled tuna for me. The kids ate at the apt. earlier. The Tuna steak was the biggest I have ever seen and cooked to perfection. So fresh it just melted in my mouth. The sea bass was lovely too. The freshest fish, just simply grilled. Not sure, but with a bottle of vino blanco,a couple of beers, water and a dessert for the kids, the bill was no more than 55 euros....great meal.
That day I'd also booked a table for our 1st visit to O'lume, so on our 4th night we were seated at a table in the courtyard by our great host,Jaime.
I'd gone with the intention of having the T-bone, but after the tuna the night before, did'nt fancy another marathon meal so plumed for the grilled rabbit and Alison chose the chicken in pepper sauce. We shared the beef carpaccio to start, with the bread and flavoured butters, after complimentary appetisers of russian salad and fish croquettes. The Bbq'd rabbit was lovely and juicy and Ali loved her chicken. We all shared the crepes in honey for dessert that I could of very easily demolished on my own had I been allowed, so I treated myself to a carajillo. With a bottle of wine, water, a beer and a 7up the bill came to just under 70 euro. The excellent service we'd had all evening was then topped off with drinks on the house, where Jaime introduced us to our new favourite after dinner drink, cuarenta y tres. A great evening, not at all spoilt by the fact that I'd locked our only set of keys in the apartment In fact, we forgot all about our dilema, and were later able to sleep in our beds and not on the beach, but thats another story

A very interesting post - thank you.

These are two restaurants we visited in our trip in the last two weeks.....but in one case with a very different perspective. I'll post a report soon.

Forgot to mention that while speaking to Jaime at O'lume he said
'I know who you are' followed by his infectious laugh.
'Pardon' I replied.
'From the website. I recognise you from the website' he said laughing again.
I'd posted on here that me ,my wife and 2 daughters were looking forward to visiting O'lume for the 1st time, and he recognised us.......So funny
Next post- Lunch at Tolos, an evening in Pollensa and a night of guilty pleasure.
