Isn't there a thread already running with this, but again, Tangos or El Mojito for best veggie paella in the port, fresh ones, I try to avoid the café style ones, nice but not a patch on the real thing

I have to report that the paella as good as ever. Had to wait 1 hour (was advised) but I think that is a good sign.
Got caught short without my wallet but can pay the bill later. Try doing that in the UK!
Now ready for a serious snooze on the beach......zzzzzzzzz

As you say Wob good sign if it takes that long, it take at least 45 mins to make one, glad you enjoyed it, I will get around one year to a visit to El Ancla, maybe this year.

Oh i sooo!! agree, if it's served up in 15 mins it is probably frozen. The exception being if it's a starter on a MDD. Of course most places serve a mixed paella so it is always advisable to pre-order if you require a meat only/ seafood only or veggie.

We had a lovely mixed paella in Los Pescadores last week. I think it probably took about an hour from ordering and was delicious. Lovely setting on the balcony and great service too.

I've not been there for a year or two but I always thought C'an Ferrar, as well as being one of the best value restaurants around, produced some wonderful paellas.

The best veggie paella we have had was at Cellar La Parra - we had to order the day before but it was delicious. Problem is that OH like trad paella but I dont like sea food etc and he can never get paella for one We once tried a restaurant on the 'front' which did paellas for one but they were not good - think they were frozen and had no taste at all - rubbish

I would go for Ikebana we had a seafood paella and it was very good had to wait quite a time but as has been said they obviously cook them fresh.
I have seen Paella's served at the Bahia on the Pine Walk and they looked really good as well.
We are staying there for a few nights next month before we go to an apartment, I'm going to try it there as well as Ikebana.

I had two this year both at lunchtime: C'an Ferrar - lovely mixed paella, plenty of meat (chicken, pork, rabbit), and seafood (squid, prawns, mussels, crab claws). Absolutely delicious, and enough for two platefulls each for two persons. The second one was at Joker Bar (one of those paella for one dishes), very stingy with the meat (little bit of chicken and about half of a mini pork rib), one small prawn. Very stodgy like it had been sitting there a while. The C'an Ferrar one was actually cheaper per person.

C'an Ferrar every time. it is home made and certainly not frozen. You get plenty and it has excellent ingrediants. Just don't drink the wine (try a glass and you will see why I said that)

Thanks guys - keep going - some really good advice so far!
Grandad - I think I'll take your word on the wine then rather than waste good tastebuds - and euros!
