Default Oranges and Lemons?

That's us just back form a lovely 2 week break. I will do restaurant reviews in due course but first have a question.

Does anyone know why the Orange Bar has now changed its name to the Lemon Bar?

My son and I wondered the same thing the other night - at what time will it become the Beetroot Bar?

Default oranges & lemons

Warning, they served me, in my opinon, a watered down whiskey in there the other day. I made them open a new bottle to repace my drink. Some very sheepish faces and no argument either!

I noticed that last week. They appeared to have a food menu up outside so I wondered if they were changing it into more of an eating place?

We laughed at the name change as well, especially as the "decor" is still orange. The food is brought across from the Daina Hotel, it isn't covered for it's journey which puts me off as does the cost of the drinks .

I spoke to the staff who said that they had infringed copyright and had to change the name so they chose Lemon !!!! Are they having a laugh ? or what.

I assume the bar is still part of the Daina hotel. If so, I am surprised to hear that kind of thing going on in a reputable establishment, unless they have some "entrepreneurial" bar staff.

Adios

Dave

Had a cocktail at the lemon bar (yes they were told to change the name because of copyright (think mobile phones)). They were very good, freshly made and strong. For an evening drink in a nice setting a cocktail at 6.50 is not too bad at all. They have a cocktail list on the table and they are not 10 euros. You will pay 6 euros for a pre made, bought in the bottle cocktail on the front. Overall opinion is a nice place for a night cap.
