Default Teatime Tapas Trail

I seem to recall a mention of a "Tapas Trail," ideal for people not wanting to sit down for a full meal. Has anyone put one together? It sounds a cracking idea. Apart from Neptuno's I don't really know where to find traditional tapas. I can imagine that going on a tapas trail with a group of friends would be a great way to spend a different sort of an evening in the port or the old town!

Hi mpg

Restaurant Stay now have a small tapas menu. Think this is a new
addition this season as do not remember on previous visits. Do not
think true tapas as in bite sized snack taken with each drink but more
like raciones or probably the medio raciones you get for about €3.50
in Neptuno. They are priced around €4.00 each but if the quality is
in line with the main menu the extra €0.50 or so is well worth it for
the unbeatable view of the whole bay. Sure would be no problem to
share a dish between you with a drink as have often shared starters
and puds from the restaurant menu. Not sure if they are available in
the evening though, best to check it out at lunchtime and ask. or
even try some.

Taking nothing away from Neptuno`s here, always has been our fave.
Great food served by nice people at a reasonable price. Stay is just
in the perfect place though. As I said not tried tapas at Stay . But if
you do try it would love to hear your comments as wish we had tried
it now on our last visit but always got drawn back to Neptuno.

Think a case of Traditional Vs Modern

Got hungry just writing that

Wizzard

La Bodeguita (next to public car park) is also very good. No tapas on display but they are prepared freshly when you order and are delicious!

la cantina (in the arches of la Llonja) does amazing tapas, and it catches the last of the evening sun.

Corbi mar does tasty tapas, but maybe only during the day (best pa amb oli IMO)

Cafe illa does a good mix of tapas and has a deal (bottle of wine and six tapas of your choice for 28 euro). Although tasty, i have had better tapas elsewhere however the value is excellent, the view is amazing, the service is relaxed and friendly and it is lovely inside too!
