Default best eat in pizza?

The girls have indulged us in our choice of restaurants this week, but now they want pizza.

Where is best in port?

Bella Roma appears to be the favourite of the moment, or if you want right on waters edge, I'm pretty sure its Little Italy on Pine Walk - up on the cobbled part.

When we walked past Little Italy the other week, they had a challenge on offer. If I remember correctly it involved a very large pizza! We've eaten here in the past and the food was good, but the service was cool. If you want the best seats (outside on Pine walk), I would advise booking.

It's amazing what comes out of the woodwork - I've never even heard of Manduca although, having checked out its location, I must have walked past it more times than I care to remember, and I can't remember it being mentioned on this forum before (and apologies if I'm wrong on that). The next time pizzas are needed by my gang I'll make sure it gets its chance!

I love little Italy but would say that if you want to go there in July and August you need to book and you need to eat early if you want to be with lots of families and after 9.30 if you want a bit of a quieter atmosphere

Fantastic Pizza though and really good service out of season ...... I just guess they are victims of their own sucess in high season and so the personal touch can sometimes be missing

Manduca probably has the best selection of pizzas in the port and superb other food as well - try their little starters - expensive, but to die for, curries and couscous, etc. This is a very busy, happening little place that all the young locals go to but if you want the atmosphere eat after 10.

... and a nice selection of wines!

When we went out to sign for our apartment, we met the vendors there for a "glass" of wine so they could tell us the idiosyncracies of the flat. Three hours later Mo and I had to stagger back for an afternoon nap. Luckily, we were staying at H. Eolo so it wasn't that far.

Perhaps we should have had a pizza.

The apartment we normally stay in is very close to Little Italy but we have never eaten there. Isn't it very uncomfortable sitting outside on the edge of the cobble pavement? And all the crowds pushing past you on the Pine Walk? I prefer somewhere a bit quieter, myself. But it's always crowded when we pass it so it must have something going for it.

"Liddle Iddaly" is tops.

Later in the evening I think Little Italy has the best view and atmosphere in PP - they are happy to serve wine/coffees then.

Where is Manduca, please? Does it do a good range of takeaway food?

Often get takeaway pizzas from Tolos as it's so close to where we are....they're very good as well!
