Food, glorious food !!!!

Well, it was always going to be a sort of hit or miss evening by the way we'd made the arrangements !!!

" See ya in the Square ( Pollenca ) at "gone seven " we'd agreed with couple A ( who lived in the town ) and couple B ( who live in Cala ). Well " gone seven" ain't exactly kinda definitive and is open to interpretation.

We're the first ones there at about 7.20 p.m. , late I know for seven, and BLT and I settle down for a pre prandial drink and are enjoying the nice evening ambience. Couple A come wandering along by about 7.50 p.m. , so engage in a nice bit of social chit chat. Mobile phone rings , which inform us that couple B will be another 15 mins ( they eventually turn up 45 mins later !!! ).

Co-incidence is that no one has eat since breaky so we're all pretty ravenous.
Another round of drinks and chit chat but by 9 p.m. me stomach thinks me throat's been cut !!!!

Now, as you know, there is a high correlation between the numbers of dinners and the amount of indecision on where to eat . So at 9.10 p.m. I decide that one leadership debate per week is enough for anyone so I jump up and bellow

"WE'RE EATING THERE ( CA N'OLESA AND WE'RE EATING NOW !!!

As we all troop in , I bellow again "BRING US FOOD AND BRING IT NOW, POR FAVOR !!!

So five minutes later bowls of fried squid and bowls of delicious fried green peppers are proffered which we greedily consume with the bread,olives and olive oil. First pangs of hunger satisfied we take time over ordering our main courses .

Still hungry I scan the menu for the highest calorific, carbohydrate items.
Have any of you guys heard of a frankfurter pizza dripping in melted mozzarella ? We'll I have now , and it was delicious .

My fellow diners chose various other dishes , too numerous to mention but all enjoyed . We agreed to return at some future date but importantly , at a specific time !!!!!
