Default Where is the best lobster ?

We are travelling to Puerto-Pollensa this coming Thursday and wondered where the best place to go for Lobster was in the area please?
Its my Fiancee's birthday and she loves lobster hence me not wanting to take a chance.

Thanks so much in advance.

Have had lobster in El Posito and Ikebana, both were great but you will need to pre-order at least 24 hours before.

Simon, just to let you know El Posito is only open for lunch at the moment but it will be open for dinner from this Sunday.
It is hubby's birthday this Thursday, we have booked a table at Ikebana and are having lobster .

Ikebana is across the road from the Pollensa Park Hotel but if you are not arriving until Friday night i don't think yu will be able to have lobster on Saturday, as i said they need 24 hours notice and that goes for a lot of places.
The Yacht Club and Los Faroles used to have lobsters in a tank but i am not sure if they still do.

No problem Simon, i have sent you a PM. However if you read the "sticky" posts at the beginning of this section you will find reviews and directions to all the best places in the port.

The Yacht Club and La Llonja both have lobsters in tanks but you might need a second mortgage to eat them... I also noticed that Bar Nou in the old town has lobster on the menu which is much more reasonably priced but I didn't try it so I can't comment. We had a lovely meal there though - one of the best this holiday - so I can't see why the lobster would disappoint.

Best lobster I ever had was at Clivia in old Pollensa (near the small taxi rank) my wife had the bigest prawns I've ever seen and was given a bib to wear to avoid the juices running off her chin! This was a special occasion and not somewhere I would eat often. (Too expensive!) We were dressed up a bit for the meal, just as well as I am not sure I'd have been wellcome in my shorts!
If you want somewhere for a birthday meal I'd suggest Los Zarzales or Cliva but I cannot be certain that Lobster is on the menu at either.

Well i took hubby to Ikebana last night for his birthday. We had a whole grilled "Bogavante" and 2 "Cigalas" each, served on a huge platter with salad, bread, alioli, tartare sauce and rose marie sauce. this was washed down with a bottle of Albarino and water, we were too full for dessert so finished off with coffees, brandies and a glass of cava on the house. I couldn't believe the bill was only €80 for a fantastic meal which was beautifully presented, thank you Ana and Jose.

For those of you who do not know, here, "Bogavante" is what is lobster with the claws in the UK, when you see "Langosta" on the menu it is a spiny lobster which does not have claws. Cigalas look like small lobsters with claws and quite hard shells, which make them difficult to peel. When i have time i will post a photo of our meal on the Tapas Bar.
